65 more election-related complaints within 24 hours as total exceeds 600

The complaints received by the Election Commission of Sri Lanka related to the upcoming presidential election have further increased.

The Election Commission says that 65 more complaints have been received within the past 24 hours, pertaining to the 2024 Presidential Election.

Accordingly, a total of 631 election complaints have been reported between July 31 and today (19), the Election Commission said.

This includes 346 complaints received by the national election-related complaints management centre and 285 complaints received by the district centres, according to the Election Commission.

The Presidential Election is scheduled to be held on September 21 and Nominations will be accepted on August 15, 2024.
