Four buses torched in Wennappuwa

An incident has been reported where four buses were allegedly set on fire in the Wennappuwa area.

The luxury buses in question, which had been brought for repairs, were reportedly set ablaze early this morning (20) at a vehicle repair shop on Lake Road, Wennappuwa. 

It is reported that one bus was completely destroyed in the fire.

Meanwhile, footage from a nearby CCTV camera, show a person arriving and setting fire to the buses before fleeing the area.

Police estimate that the fire has caused nearly Rs. 30 million in damages.
