The national strategic plan of “Sarvajana Balaya” presidential candidate, entrepreneur Dilith Jayaweera was officially unveiled today (31).

The strategic plan specifically highlights several measures to be taken to streamline the public service.

Under the section on Public Administration and Management, the document mentions five points including a merit-first system, administrative units equal for all, integrated public service platforms, updated salary structures and demarcation with digital support.

This entails building a strong administrative system to support the entrepreneurial state, along with an advanced technical approach in which good governance becomes an integral part.

Determining public service wages is to be decided only as per the recommendations of the National Human Resource Authority while recruitment to civil service is to be carried out only through a merit-based examination system without any political interference.
