Public and bank holidays of 2025 declared

An extraordinary gazette notification has been issued declaring the public and bank holidays stipulated for the year 2025.
The gazette extraordinary has been issued by Prime Minister Dinesh Gunawardena as the Minister of Public Administration, Home Affairs, Provincial Councils, and Local Government, by virtue of the powers vested in him by Section 04 of the Holidays Act, No. 29 of 1971.
