Woman axed to death by husband in Gatahetta

A woman has been attacked with an axe and murdered by her husband in the Getahetta area of Avissawella.
The police stated the incident occurred last evening (02) and that the deceased is a 43-year-old resident in the Getahetta area of Diurumpitiya.
The attack has been carried out owing to a family dispute between the victim and her husband, police said.
The suspected husband has been arrested and the Avisaswella Police is conducting further investigation into the incident.
