Woman arrested with 62 counterfeit currency notes

A female has been arrested while in possession of 62 counterfeit currency notes of the Rs. 5,000 denomination.

The suspect, a 44-year-old resident of the Henegama area in Akuressa, had been arrested during a search operation conducted in the Veluwana area in the Dematagoda Police Division last night (05).

Dematagoda Police are conducting further investigations into the incident.
