Sri Lanka to receive 3 million eggs imported from India

The stock of 3 million eggs imported from India is scheduled to reach the island by the end of this week.

Speaking in this regard, the Chairman of the Sri Lanka State Trading Corporation (STC), Asiri Walisundara, stated that the procurement activities have been completed, and the applications for the import of eggs have been forwarded to the Department of Animal Production and Health (DAPH) for approval.

He revealed that it will be possible to sell these imported eggs at a price of around Rs. 40 per egg.
