Trains delayed on coastal line due to derailment

Train operations on the Coastal Line have been disrupted due to a derailment between Colombo Fort and the Secretariat Station.

According to the Railway Department, an empty slow train traveling from Panadura to Maradana had derailed in this manner delaying train services on the coastal line.

The Railway Department informs that all trains scheduled to operate on the Coastal Line could be delayed for a long period or could be cancelled owing to this.
