Smartphone found in prison cell of ‘Wele Suda’

A smartphone has been discovered inside the cell of notorious drug trafficker Gampola Vidanage Samantha Kumara, alias “Wele Suda,” during an sudden search operation carried out at the Boossa High-Security Prison.

The search was conducted by Police Special Task Force (STF) personnel yesterday (12).

The phone was found in cell number 38 of section A, where “Wele Suda” is currently being detained. 

The mobile device, which is a SIM-free smartphone, has been handed over to the prison authorities for further investigation.
