
Sri Lanka posted a formidable total of 308 runs for the loss of six wickets in the first innings of the second ODI against Afghanistan at the Pallekele Stadium in Kandy.
Charith Asalanka remained unbeaten with 97 runs, while Kusal Mendis smashed 61 runs, Sadeera Samarawickrama secure 52 runs and Janith Liyanage hit a half century.
Meanwhile, Afghanistan’s Azmatullah Omarzai took three wickets off of 56 balls.
Sri Lanka currently lead the three-match ODI series 1-0.
Earlier, Sri Lanka won the toss and opted to bat first against the visitors.
