Afghanistan win toss, choose to bat against Sri Lanka in 3rd ODI

Afghanistan won the toss and opted to bat first against Sri Lanka in the 3rd ODI played at the International Cricket Stadium in Pallekele on Wednesday (Feb.14).

 

Sri Lanka are already taken a 2-0 lead in the series and will be looking for a clean-sweep.
 
While the first ODI was a bit of a closely contested game Afghanistan did not put much of a fight in the second game. The visitors though cannot win the series but have pride to play for and a chance to finish the series on a high.

 

As per performances, Pathum Nissanka has been the top scorer for Sri Lanka in the series with 228 runs from two games With the ball, Pramod Madushan has been the leading wicket-taker with five wickets for Sri Lanka. For Afghanistan though it has been Azmatullah Omarzai who shone with bat (152 runs) and ball (3 wickets).
