Suspect wanted for financial fraud arrested at BIA

A suspect wanted in connection with an investigation has been arrested at the Bandaranaike International Airport (BIA) premises after arriving in Sri Lanka from Dubai.

The Criminal Investigation Department (CID) said the suspect, involved in a financial fraud case, was taken into custody. 

The 32-year-old suspect, a resident of Kandy, is accused of defrauding over Rs. 10.8 million while working as a sales representative for a private company. 

The CID is continuing further investigations into the incident.
