Anura Kumara claims big wins in Rathgama and Tangalle

The results of the Rathgama polling division in Galle District for the 2024 Presidential Election have been released by the Election Commission.

National People’s Power (NPP) candidate Anura Kumara Dissanayake has received the highest number of votes in the Rathgama polling division with a total of 30,323 votes.

Anura Kumara Dissanayake –  30,323 (49.9%)
Sajith Premadasa -  17,157 (28.24%) 
Ranil Wickremesinghe – 8,004 (13.17%)
Namal Rajapaksa – 3,236 (5.33%)
Dilith Jayaweera - 623 (1.03%)

Meanwhile, Dissanayake has also topped the Tangalle polling division in the Hambantota District with 59,117 votes.

Anura Kumara Dissanayake –  59,117 (55.49%)
Sajith Premadasa -  28,857 (27.09%) 
Ranil Wickremesinghe – 9,056 (8.5%)
Namal Rajapaksa – 5,964 (5.6%)
Dilith Jayaweera - 863 (0.81%)
