Sajith wins Mullaitivu & Medawachchiya; Anura takes Bentara-Elpitiya

The results of the Mullaitivu polling division in Vanni District, Medawachchiya polling division in the Anuradhapura District and the Bentara-Elpitiya polling division in Galle District have been released.
Samagi Jana Sandhanaya candidate Sajith Premadasa has received the highest number of votes in the Mullaitivu polling division with a total of 28,301 votes.
Sajith Premadasa - 28,301 (51.19%)
P. Ariyanethiran – 12,810 (23.17%)
Ranil Wickremesinghe – 7,117 (12.87%)
Anura Kumara Dissanayake – 3,453 (6.25%)
K.K. Piyadasa – 1,220 (2.21%)
Meanwhile, Premadasa has also topped the Medawachchiya polling division in the Anuradhapura District in the 2024 Presidential Election with 30,877 votes.
Sajith Premadasa - 30,877 (41.67%)
Anura Kumara Dissanayake – 30,118 (40.65%)
Ranil Wickremesinghe – 7,672 (10.35%)
Namal Rajapaksa – 2,867 (3.87%)
Dilith Jayaweera - 619 (0.84%)
In the meantime, the Bentara-Elpitiya polling division in Galle District for the 2024 Presidential Election have also been released with NPP’s Dissanayake coming up top.
Anura Kumara Dissanayake – 35,612 (49.37%)
Sajith Premadasa - 19,733 (27.35%)
Ranil Wickremesinghe – 11,595 (16.07%)
Namal Rajapaksa – 2,571 (3.56%)
Dilith Jayaweera - 822 (1.14%)
