Person killed after being hit by train in Aluthgama

A person has reportedly been killed after being hit by a train between Hettimulla and Aluthgama railway stations in the Aluthgama police division.

The individual died after he was hit by a train plying from Maradana to Hikkaduwa.

The deceased is 46-year-old resident of Beruwala area.

The body has been placed in the mortuary of the Nagoda Hospital and Aluthgama Police is conducting further investigations into the incident.
