Bandula decides not to contest 2024 General Election

The former Cabinet Spokesman and former Minister of Transport and Mass Media, Bandula Gunawardena says that he will not contest the upcoming parliamentary election.

Speaking to the media in this regard today (04), the former MP expressed that he served the people to the best of his ability by holding a number of positions as a Member of Parliament, a Deputy Minister and a Cabinet Minister while representing the Homagama constituency in the Parliament for more than twenty years.

Furthermore, Gunawardena stated that he has done everything possible to turn the Homagama city into a center of knowledge for the people of the Homagama constituency who have been helpless for many years without a proper public representative to represent them in the Parliament.

Meanwhile, he also revealed plans of producing another movie while continuing his further education for another doctorate in the upcoming years.
