The National Water Supply and Drainage Board says that the water supply to several areas in the Western Province will be under low pressure due to a sudden breakdown in the transmission pipeline to the Church Hill Reservoir.

Accordingly, the water supply will be under low pressure in the following areas:

Urban Council Areas:

Wattala, Mabola, Ja-Ela, Katunayak-Seeduwa

Pradeshiya Sabha Areas:

Wattala, Biyagama, Mahara, Dompe, Ja-Ela, Katana and Minuwangoda

Meanwhile, the Water Board said that high elevated areas may experience supply interruptions.

It further said that repair work is in progress and that the expected restore time is 12.00 noon tomorrow (22).

The people living in the aforementioned areas are advised to use water sparingly.
