22 students hospitalized after suddenly falling ill at school

A group of female students at a school in Balangoda has been admitted to Base Hospital Balangoda due to experiencing sudden health complications.
It is reported that several girls from the school had cleaned the women’s toilet with a certain chemical solution.
Subsequently, those students, as well as several other children who used the toilet, had fallen ill and required hospitalization.
Accordingly, it is reported that a total of 22 students from C.C. Tamil Maha Vidyalaya in Balangoda were hospitalized following the incident.
