30-year-old killed in Badowita shooting

A 30-year-old man has been killed in a shooting incident in the Badowita area within the Mount Lavinia Police Division tonight (13).

The victim, a resident of Badowita Phase 3, was pronounced dead upon admission to the Kalubowila Hospital.

A T-56 assault rifle is suspected to have been used in the shooting, though details of the suspects involved remain unknown.

Mount Lavinia Police have launched an investigation into the incident based on information received via the ‘119’ police emergency hotline.
