EPDP wins Kayts; NPP takes Rattota, Deniyaya and Kamburupitiya

The Election Commission has released the results of the Kayts polling division in Jaffna District, Rattota polling division in Matale District, Deniyaya and Kamburupitiya polling divisions in Matara District.

 

The Eelam People’s Democratic Party (EPDP) has obtained the highest number of votes in the Kayts polling division with 3,296 while NPP has won the other three polling divisions. 

 

Kayts polling division in Jaffna District: 

 

Eelam People’s Democratic Party (EPDP) – 3,296
Ilankai Tamil Arasu Kachchi (ITAK) – 2,626
National People’s Power (NPP) – 2,116
All Ceylon Tamil Congress (ACTC) – 1,000
Democratic Tamil National Alliance (DTNA) – 624

 

Rathtota polling division in Matale District:

 

National People’s Power (NPP) – 36,375
Samagi Jana Balawegaya (SJB) – 14,492
New Democratic Front (NDF) – 3,147
Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna (SLPP) – 2,480
People’s Struggle Alliance (PSA) – 802

 

Deniyaya polling division in Matara District:

 

National People’s Power (NPP) – 41,989
Samagi Jana Balawegaya (SJB) – 11,636
New Democratic Front (NDF) – 4,536
‘Sarvajana Balaya’ (SRJB) – 2,444
Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna (SLPP) – 1,660

 

Kamburupitiya polling division in Matara District

 

National People’s Power (NPP) – 37,897
Samagi Jana Balawegaya (SJB) – 9,315
New Democratic Front (NDF) – 3,629
‘Sarvajana Balaya’ (SRJB) – 1,110
