NPP wins 5 seats, SJB secures one in Monaragala District

The Election Commission of Sri Lanka has released the final results of the Monaragala District in the 2024 General Election with the National People’s Power (NPP) polling more than 64% of the total votes in the district. 

 

NPP has polled 174,730 votes to win the district while the Samagi Jana Balawegaya (SJB) is second with 74,475 votes (22.81%).

 

Accordingly, the NPP has secured 5 seats in the district while the SJB have won one seat in the district. 

 

National People’s Power (NPP) – 174,730 (5 seats)
Samagi Jana Balawegaya (SJB) – 62,014 (1 seat)
Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna (SLPP) – 11,624
New Democratic Front (NDF) – 10,697
 ‘Sarvajana Balaya’ (SRJB) – 3,455
