NPP secures 8 seats, SJB secures 3 in Ratnapura

The Election Commission of Sri Lanka has released the final results of the Ratnapura District in the 2024 General Election with the National People’s Power (NPP) polling more than 61% of the total votes in the district. 

NPP has polled 368,229 votes to win the district while the Samagi Jana Balawegaya (SJB) is second with 133,041 votes (22.31%).

Accordingly, the NPP has secured 8 seats in the district while the SJB has won 3 seats in the district. 

National People’s Power (NPP) – 368,229 (8 seats)
Samagi Jana Balawegaya (SJB) – 133,041 (3 seats)
Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna (SLPP) – 29,316
New Democratic Front (NDF) – 26,171
 ‘Sarvajana Balaya’ (SRJB) – 10,485
