Matale District preferential vote results released

The preferential vote results of the Matale District in the 2024 General Election have been released.

NPP’s Gamagedara Dissanayake has polled the highest number of preferential votes in the Matale District. 

Former MP Rohini Kawirathne has received the highest preferential votes from the SJB to secure its only seat.

National People’s Power (NPP)

1. Gamagedara Dissanayake - 100,618

2. Sunil Biyanvila - 56,932

3. Deepthi Wasalage  - 47,482

4. Dinesh Hemantha Perera - 43,455

Samagi Jana Balawegaya (SJB)

1. Rohini Kawirathne - 27,945
