Kurunegala District preferential vote results released

The preferential vote results of the Kurunegala District in the 2024 General Election have been released.

NPP’s Namal Karunaratne has polled the highest number of preferential votes in the Kurunegala District with a total of 356,969 votes while NPP’s Ananda Wijeyapala and Sujeeva Dissanayake are placed second and third respectively.

Nalin Bandara has managed to secure the highest number of preference votes for the SJB in the district Dayasiri Jayasekara and J.C. Alawathuwala have also obtained seats for the party.
