Seven injured as truck collides with train in Weligama

Seven persons including two children were injured when a light truck collided against a train at a railway crossing in Weligama.

Police said the collision had occurred due to the driver of the truck disobeying the red signal at the Polwatte, Weligama level crossing, and attempted to pass through.

The injured persons have been hospitalised while some are in critical condition, Ada Derana reporter said.
