Workshop for freshly elected MPs on parliament practices and affairs

The registration activities of newly elected Members of Parliament are scheduled to begin from tomorrow (17).

The Parliamentary Communications Department said that accordingly, the newly elected MPs can register for the Parliament online.

Meanwhile, measures have been taken to keep two special information counters of the Parliament open on Tuesday (19) and Wednesday (20) for the newly elected MPs to access information regarding the registration process.

Furthermore, plans underway to hold a three-day special workshop for the incoming legislators on the parliament culture and parliament affairs, according to the Parliamentary Communications Department.

The workshop is scheduled to be held on November 25,26 and 27.

A gazette notification related to these matters will be issued today (16).

The inaugural session of the Tenth Parliament, comprising of members elected through the 2024 General Election held on November 14, is scheduled to commence on November 21, as per the Extraordinary Gazette Notification No. 2403/13 dated 2024.09.24 issued by the President, according to the Parliamentary Communications Department.
