Accomplice of ‘‘Badowita Asanka’ arrested with drugs

An accomplice of the notorious underworld criminal figure and large-scale drug trafficker infamously known as “Badowita Asanka” has been arrested by the Police Special Task Force (STF) along with a stock of heroin.

The Police STF has seized 05 grams and 200 milligrams of heroin, which was found in the possession of the suspect.

Police said that it was later revealed that the suspect is an accomplice of “Badowita Asanka” who is involved in drug trafficking across the country.

The suspect was arrested during a raid conducted in the Badowita area of Mount-Lavinia area by the officers attached to the Moratuwa Police Special Task Force (STF).

The suspect is a 65-year-old resident of the Mount Lavinia area and he has been handed over to the Mount Lavinia police for further investigation, according to police.
