Sri Lankan skipper Charith Asalanka won the toss and opted to bowl first against Suryakumar Yadav’s India in the third of three match T20I at the Pallekele International Cricket Stadium in Pallekele on Tuesday.
India’s batting department has hardly put a wrong over the last weekened as Sri Lanka’s brittle middle-order, in contrast, hardly backed up the effort from the top-order led by Pathum Nisanka. With two successive middle-order collapses before them, Sri Lanka will hope for a quick rejig in Pallekele before the ODIs begin.
India will quite likely test their bench with the likes of Washington Sundar, Shivam Dube, Khaleel Ahmed likely to feature in their first match on the tour.
