CID probes 22 ex-ministers and MPs who benefited from President’s Fund

The ongoing investigations of the Criminal Investigations Department (CID) into funds obtained from the President’s Fund have revealed names of 22 former Ministers and MPs as beneficiaries between 2008 and 2024. 

Sri Lanka Police said that accordingly, the CID will obtain an order from Fort Magistrate’s Court to obtain cheque details of these transactions.
