Over 700kg of heroin and ‘Ice’ seized in seas off western coast

A large consignment of narcotics, consisting of over 700 kilograms of heroin and crystal methamphetamine (ICE), was seized during an operation in the seas off the western coast today (05), according to the Sri Lanka Navy.
The operation was carried out as a joint effort between the Sri Lanka Navy and the Police Narcotics Bureau (PNB), the navy spokesman said.
