CID arrests former Chairman of Kataragama Pradeshiya Sabha

The Criminal Investigation Department (CID) has arrested the former Chairman of the Kataragama Pradeshiya Sabha, Asoka Wickremasinghe.
The arrest was reportedly made over his alleged involvement in granting irregular approval for a construction project near the Menik Ganga, which is said to have belonged to Rajapaksa family.
