Flash flood hits Chilaw

A flash flood situation has occurred in Chilaw city, Ada Derana reporter said.

Following this, it has been reported that Ananda National College and Vijaya College in Chilaw have been temporarily closed.

Ada Derana reporter further said that many roads and houses in Chilaw town have been submerged due to the flooding.

Local residents claim that the flooding was caused by a blockage in the drainage system in Chilaw town.
