Esperanza 2010 - Chords for a cause

This December, taking Colombo by storm, sweeping all music lovers off their feet, comes Esperanza 2010. Organized by the Rotaract club of the Faculty of Science, University of Colombo, It will be a night of musical performances the likes of which Colombo has never seen before.

From Hip Hop and POP lovers to Metalheads, the concert will cater to the needs of a variety of music lovers. Bands that will be performing include some of the biggest names in the Sri Lankan music industry such as the duo that set the benchmark for Sri Lankan Pop music BnS and the guys who made it to MTV international, Nemesis. Also there will be performances by Helter Skelter, Battery, Billy Fernando and Solo artists such as Ruwanthi Illeperuma and Tehan Perera and many others.

The project is organized in aid of Serric, An organization that helps Children of Soldiers who were born differently abled due to the stress their mothers were undergoing while their fathers were at war. The organization helps in the education of the children and offers them many new medication techniques such as Hydrotherapy.

Thus the concert will serve 2 purposes. To provide the Sri Lankan music fans a never before experienced musical extravaganza and aid with building a better future to many children in need of help, our help.

From 7 pm onwards on the 18th of December 2010, at the Bishops College auditorium, there will unravel the greatest music concert Colombo (or maybe even Sri Lanka for that matter) has ever seen.
