Jimmy Donaldson, better known as MrBeast, made YouTube history as the first creator to surpass 400 million subscribers. To mark the milestone, YouTube gifted him a specially designed Play button, which has never been seen before on the platform.

The award was presented personally by YouTube CEO Neal Mohan in early July 2025, and the photo was posted on social media today by MrBeast.

Unlike the standard prices that YouTube gives for 100 thousand, one million or 100 million subscribers, MrBeast’s new play button is unique.

It’s a high-gloss metal plate with an eye-catching blue stone in the middle, which is a first for the YouTube platform. Fans reacted immediately, with some happy with the design, while others think the award could have been even more spectacular given the importance of the moment.

MrBeast built his YouTube career on popular viral challenges, generous donations, and humanitarian actions.

Over time, he became a global symbol of online philanthropy, given the projects he implemented in numerous endangered areas around the world, as well as creativity. He is known for spending millions of dollars rewarding fans, helping communities, and making bigger and crazier ideas a reality.

Following it in the YouTube rankings is T-Series, an Indian music and film company that was the most-watched channel in the world for years and currently has around 298 million subscribers. Then there’s Cocomelon, a popular children’s channel that entertains millions of children around the world every day with its animated songs and educational content.

Also at the top are SET India, a television channel that broadcasts popular Indian-produced series and shows, as well as Vlad and Niki and Kids Diana Show, two children’s channels that enjoy great popularity among the youngest.

With 400 million subscribers and a special blue Play button, MrBeast has proven that nothing is impossible and that overcoming personal limits actually requires overcoming limits and much bigger players.
