Bangladesh skipper Litton Das won the toss and opted to bowl first against Charith Asalanka’s Sri Lanka in the first game of the Super 4 round at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium in Dubai on Saturday. 

Dunith Wellalage has been selected to play against Bangladesh today after he returned from Sri Lanka following the passing of his father.

While Sri Lanka is unbeaten in the tournament, Bangladesh has lost one game in their group stage, which was against Sri Lanka as well.

Asalanka’s side has looked like a near-perfect team both in the bowling and batting departments. Pathum Nissanka has been in sublime form in the tournament, and Kusal Mendis, with his match-winning innings in the previous game against Afghanistan, stuck form as well. 

The bowling too has looked like a well-oiled machine, and Sri Lanka would be hoping to maintain that form in this stage of the tournament as well.
