Few showers expected in parts of the island today

A few showers are likely in the Northern and Eastern provinces today (11), the Department of Meteorology stated.

Showers or thundershowers may occur at a few places in the Sabaragamuwa, Southern and Uva provinces and in the Kandy and Nuwara-Eliya districts in the evening or night, the Met. Department added.

Mainly dry weather will prevail elsewhere over the island.

Meanwhile, misty conditions can be expected at some places in the Western, Central, Sabaragamuwa and Uva provinces and in the Galle and Matara districts during the early hours of the morning.
