Level 2 landslide warnings issued to several areas in five districts

Level 2 landslide warnings have been issued to several areas of five districts owing to the prevailing heavy rainfall conditions across the country.

The warning issued by the National Building Research Organisation (NBRO) will be in effect from 9:00 a.m. today until 9:00 a.m. tomorrow.

Warning Level 2: Amber (Alert)

• Badulla District: Passara

• Galle District: Neluwa

• Kalutara District: Agalawatta, Baduraliya, Matugama, Horana, Walallawita

• Kandy District: Pathahewaheta, Pasbage Korale, Akurana, Gangawata Korale, Panwila, Yatinuwara, Ganga Ihala Korale, Udapalatha

• Ratnapura District: Pelmadulla, Ratnapura

Warning Level 1: Yellow (Watch)

• Badulla District: Bandarawela, Hali-Ela

• Galle District: Thawalama, Elpitiya, Niyagama

• Kalutara District: Ingiriya, Bulathsinhala

• Kandy District: Poojapitiya, Thumpane, Deltota, Doluwa, Udunuwara, Hatharaliyadda, Harispattuwa

• Kegalle District: Mawanella, Bulathkohupitiya, Yatiyanthota, Aranayaka, Kegalle, Rambukkana, Warakapola

• Kurunegala District: Rideegama

• Matale District: Naula, Ambanganga Korale, Rattota

• Matara District: Pitabeddara

• Monaragala District: Badalkumbura, Wellawaya, Bibile

• Nuwara Eliya District: Norwood, Ambagamuwa Korale, Kotmale West

• Ratnapura District: Eheliyagoda, Kuruwita, Kalawana, Godakawela, Kiriella, Ayagama
