NodeJS (the JavaScript on the Web) by Arunoda Susiripala – Arunoda is the founder of Yalu which is a Startup on mobile and cloud based apps. He has a wide experience in PHP and NodeJS which he uses to create popular mobile apps for the Sri Lankan market.
Can hacking be ethical? by Balachandran Gnanasekaraiyar – Bala is a lecturer at the School of Computing, of APIIT, Sri Lanka. He holds both a MSc and an Honors BIT as well as CCNA (Cisco Certified Networking Associate), CEH (Certified Ethical Hacker) and SCJP (Sun Certified Java Programmer) qualifications.
Social Targeting on Mobile by Dilshan Kathriarachchi– Dilshan is the CTO and one of the founders of Addictive Mobility which is one of North America’s fastest growing mobile advertising platforms catering to Fortune 500 companies such as Toyota, BMW, Unilever and Pfizer.

A note on the Refresh Colombo. The community meets up on the last Thursday of each month at the Royal College skills centre at 5:30 in the evening. The entire operation is free and not for profit and speakers volunteer or are invited to give presentations on their knowledge areas. This is a fantastic opportunity for tech interested people to meet up and create more opportunities out of it. Programmers and designers can forge development relationships while business oriented people can find the skills needed to build up on possibly the next big thing in Sri Lanka. Individuals interested in finding the next big thing to invest in might also find what they are looking for here. The community is vibrant and is growing fast and it’s a good idea to come along and join without delay.
