Within the past 8 months the Ministry of Health has fined over Rs.50 million from suppliers who had not delivered promised drugs. The sums were charged from the suppliers’ bonds, the Ministry stated.

Suppliers who had not delivered the stocks of medicine on the given date as per agreement have been fined a total amount of Rs. 58, 000, 000.
