The Colombo High Court has a short while ago sentenced former OIC of the Angulana Police and three other officers who were found guilty of the double murder of two youths in Angulana.

Former OIC K.W. Newton, Police constables Galhenage Kumarasiri, Dhammika Jayaratne and Civil Defence Force member Janapriya Senaratne were found guilty beyond a reasonable doubt for the dual murder of Dinesh Tharanga Fernando and Dhanushka Aponsu on August 12, 2009.
