National Museum robbery: Statements recorded from 52 persons

Statements have been recorded from 52 persons over the robbery that took place at the Colombo National Museum, the Criminal Investigations Department(CID) told the Colombo Magistrate Court today.
The Colombo National Museum was broken into on March 17 where some historic items including a sword and coins were stolen.
The CID told Courts that a few DNA reports and a report from the Colombo University regarding the security cameras at the National Museum were both pending.
The Colombo Chief Magistrate, who took into account the statement of the CID, ordered the case to be taken up again on May 2.
