Kapilavastu exposition in Kelaniya tomorrow

Exposition of the Sacred Kapilavastu relics will be held for 1 hour at Kelaniya Rajamaha Viharaya tomorrow after 6.30am before being taken to Pelmadulla.

The sacred Kapilavastu Buddhist relics which travelled to Sri Lanka from India after more than 30 years, was received by President Mahinda Rajapaksa on August 19 at the Bandaranaike airport.

The Sacred Kapilavastu Relics will be exposed at the Manelwaththa Temple until tomorrow (August 22) at 6.00 am.

Thereafter, the relics will be taken to Kelaniya Rajamaha Viharaya, where it will be on exposition for 1 hour before being taken to Pellmadulla Rajamaha Viharaya. The Sacred Relics will be on exposition there on August 22 and 23.

Exposition of the Sacred Buddha Relics will be held at five locations from August 19 to September 5 with Prith Chanting by the Maha Sangha.
