Landslide warning issued for two districts - NBRO

The National Building Research Organization (NBRO) has issued earth slip and rock fall warnings to several areas in the Nuwara Eliya and Badulla Districts due to prevailing inclement weather conditions.
Head of the Landslide Research & Risk Management Division, R.M.S. Bandara stated that the warning was issued last evening for a period of 24 hours.
The organization stated that special attention should be directed towards areas such as Walapane, Haguranketha, Nuwara Eliya, Kotmale, Abagamuwakorale, Norton Bridge, Lakshapana and Castlereagh.
Meanwhile landslide and rock fall warnings have been issued to all District Secretary Divisions in the Badulla District except Mahiyanganaya.
