A 60-year-old British man has drowned while bathing in the sea off Seeni Modara in Tangalle last night.
Police said the foreigner as a habit had taken a sea bath every night during his stay and that he had done the same at around 9.30pm yesterday.
His body was recovered after it washed ashore in the Mawella beach and has currently been placed at the Tangalle Hospital mortuary.
