Two persons injured as train collides with vehicle in Galle

Two persons were injured after a train bound for Matara collided with another vehicle on a railway crossing in the Magalla area in Galle, police stated.

 

The train was traveling from Galle to Matara when it collided with the vehicle which resulted in two people being injured, police stated.

 

The incident occurred after no one was present to close the protective gate at the railway crossing when the train was traveling through the area.
