Two held with Rs.6 million worth heroin at BIA

Two persons, including an Indian national, have been arrested at the Bandaranaike International Airport in Katunayake with a haul of heroin worth around Rs. 6 million.

It has been reported that one kilogram and 20 grams of heroin was found in the possession of the suspects, arrested last evening by customs officers at the airport.

It has been revealed that the men had engaged in the smuggling racket under the guise of transporting textiles from India. They have been handed over to the Police Narcotics Bureau for onward action.
