A man was arrested in possession of a stock of illegally imported cigarettes in the Lakshapana Malwana area, police stated.
The Police Special Task Force carried out a raid following a tip they had received and apprehended the suspect in possession of 800 cigarettes.
The suspect was handed over to the Biyagama police for further questioning.
