A woman was stabbed to death inside her home in Boralesgamuwa while a 19-year-old youth was also stabbed and injured by the assailant who broke into the home at around midnight yesterday.
Police said the injured youth has been admitted to the Kalubowila Teaching Hospital.
The murder had taken place at a residence in Katuwawala in Boralesgamuwa while the deceased is a 52-year-old woman.
