At least 23 students of the Buttala Ranjan Wijeratne Maha Vidyalaya have been hospitalized this morning due to food poisoning.
A group of Grade 5 students of the school were admitted to the Buttala Hospital, police said.
Police suspects that food poisoning was caused by food items provided from a place that provides students their daily breakfast.
Buttala Police has commenced an investigation.
