VIDEO: Couple commits suicide over love affair

The bodies of two people who had hanged themselves were found in a home in the Rotaweva area of Minneriya, police stated. The couple had allegedly committed suicide over an illicit love affair.

 

The male victim was 28 years old and the female victim was 17 years old while both were residents of the Pulasthigama area.

 

Police reported that the couple had committed suicide a few days ago while the post mortem will be conducted today (March 27).

 

The Minneriya police are conducting further inquiries.
